Yeah yeah yeah, I know, it's been a week...
I still don't have a job. This is starting to really bother me, and my money is slowly (well, not so slowly) disappearing. I don't know what I'll do if I can't find a job soon :-/
Anyway, I don't wanna talk about that, because I had an amazing weekend. Especially Saturday :) Making french toast for my love, hot showers, lounging around, cutting Tony's hair, and then my welcome to Seattle party! I had such a freaking blast! I got pretty tipsy, and just hung out smoking and chatting with people. It was great :) I really love Seattle. I think I'll love it more once I get a job, and start hanging out with more people. But Saturday was really great. We went out Friday night, too, but I ended up not having the best time because I drank a little too much a little too fast, and when we all went back to Lane's, I was too sick to enjoy myself. But at the club and on the walk to Lane's, I had a great time... :-P
And things with Tony and I couldn't be better... :)

Me: ::Walking down Olive Way::
Stranger w/girlfriend: Excuse me, do you know any good places to eat around here, kinda cheap?
Me: I just moved here about a week ago, so I have *no* idea.
Stranger: ::Amused smile::, Oh, OK
Me: Yeah, I barely know where I'm going right now! Sorry!
Stranger: ::Chuckle::, OK, well thanks anyway, and good luck!
Me: Thanks! ::Turn to continue on my way::
Stranger: Calling after me: Well at least you're lucky enough to live here!
Me: Turning back to address stranger: I agree completely!! ::Huge grin::
Emphasis on the huge grin there, at the end :)

OK, so according to some people I don't write enough :-P The main reason I haven't written in a few days is that it was the weekend, and Tony and I tend to spend the weekends really close to each other ... :)
So I went to fire spinning class on Wednesday, and learned some more with my staff, and learned how to eat fire! That's right, I'm a fire eater! It was pretty awesome, and I felt pretty damn cool. Class was fun, but I get easily frustrated when I can't immediately get a certain move. I need to work on that, because this is a slow process and I'm not going to be great at it after only two lessons. Oh it's so much fun though :)
This weekend was pretty packed and fun. Friday night Tony and I went and hung out with some of his friends from Burning Man and watched both versions of the Ring, the English and Japanese. I had an OK time, but I didn't know anyone and movie watching isn't exactly conducive to getting to know people and talk to them. I pretty much stayed snuggled against Tony the whole time (not that I minded :))
Saturday we went out and ran some errands, walked around town, job searched. Saturday night we went out to a couple of goth dance clubs, and had a pretty good time. I got nice and tipsy at the first club, danced a bit, then as I was ready to dance some more the place closed. So we headed over to the other place, but of course they were no longer serving alcohol. But we danced a bit, and ended up running into some friends of Tony's and talking to them for a long time.
Then yesterday was awesome, because we got the materials we needed and built my very first fire staff :-D It's soooo pretty. It's just a fire staff with new wicks, and it has red and yellow tape around the middle. It's great! We also made the tools needed for fire eating. Then we went out into the courtyard, and practised eating fire and I practiced spinning my staff some. It felt great, because it's the right size for me. All of Tony's are way too long. And last night one of Tony's friends that I met at the club (Kristin) came over and brought an application from this pizza place that she works, becuase they're hiring. I'm supposed to go in tomorrow and talk to the manager that does the hiring. I hope that goes well! I already know someone who works there, I'd have a job sooner than I expected, and it's about a six minute walk from here. Perfect!
Well, you wanted an update, and you got one -- a long and boring one :-P More interesting subject matter coming soon, I promise!

I'm still being really lazy here in Seattle. Recovering from being sick, recovering from that long and awful drive, and mostly -- just being lazy. But today I'm gonna get moving and get some things done that I've been meaning to do.
Last night was some fun :) I went with Tony to his foosball tournament (yes, he's in a foosball league). I watched some foosball, drank some Mike's, ate some good food. Just had fun in general. By the time we left I was all ready to go dancing or find some karaoke. But we came back to the apartment, did our own dancing in the living room (mainly just me, I was nice and tipsy), and ended up never making it back out. But we had an amazing evening in, with each other.
Tonight is fire spinning class. ::super excited super excited:: It's gonna rock, just because I've been dieing to learn how to do this since I first saw Tony and Eden do it in New York. It's just amazing. So we're going to that tonight, then maybe out to find some drinks and dancing, or even karaoke (after the drinks, of course).
I just gotta say: I love Seattle :)
Now it's time for showering and being productive!!

I just have to add an extra here -- I love Tony :-D He makes me smile so big, and laugh so loud, and love so completely.
Thanks, love, for being you.

Well, I now live in Seattle. Woohoo :)
The drive was so very long and tiring. First, on the 20th, I drove from NYC to Philly, to meet up with Ed. I ended up not getting Alice (my old car) fixed, but instead buying a minivan that a friend of his was selling. It's in great shape, and all tuned up and all that, and much roomier for all of my things and much more comfy for me and my two kitties. So I drive down there the 20th, ran around all day getting things sorted out, then drove back that night, and got up early on the 21st to start my trek out to Seattle. I drove through NJ, PA, and into OH and stayed with my family for two nights, then across OH, IN, and IL to stay with a friend near Chicago. Day three was into WI, through MN and into SD. And my lovely boy Tony decided to meet me in Sioux Falls, SD (where I already had hotel reservations), and ride the rest of the way with me. That was wonderful :-D Day four was across SD, into WY, to stay at a motel in Buffalo, WY. Then into MT, staying in Missoula, and finally day six took us across ID, and into WA, right on over to Seattle. Man, I was so happy to finally be here :):):)
I got sick along the way, a nasty case of tonsilitis. So my first day here in the city, Tony and I went out on a chase to find me a doctor, ugh. But I got some drugs and I'm doing better -- yay!! For the weekend Tony and I just stayed stuck to each others sides, and now it's Monday and back to work for him. There really isn't much news, since I was just driving (and driving, and driving) for the last week. But I miss some people so much right now -- Wes, Liz, Dan, Sarika, Aparna, Adam... Everyone stay in touch, OK?
Time for lunch and cigarettes and books...
